Information about appointments
A standard appointment at Kings Circle Medical Centre is 15 minutes.
If you have several things to discuss, the doctor may not have time to address all of your issues in one visit. You may be asked to make another appointment and return another day.
Appointment Scheduling
We do our best to keep our doctors running on time, however, due to the nature of the industry, emergencies and late appointments can occur that cause delays.
If this is the case, you will be notified upon arrival so you can decide to wait or rebook for another time. We appreciate your understanding during these times.
Walk-ins are dependent upon availability and wait times. Please understand whilst we will do our best to fit you in where possible, it is best to make an appointment in advance to ensure your preferred doctor and time can be provided to you.

Prescriptions
Doctors who work at Kings Circle Medical Centre DO NOT under any circumstances prescribe narcotics and benzos.
Scripts will also not be issued for any dangerous drugs to new patients on the first consultation.
Our Medical Team
We have a dedicated team of very experienced doctors working here at Kings Circle Medical Centre. If your regular doctor is not available, please consider seeing one of their colleagues.
All of your patient files and doctor’s notes are stored electronically, so any doctor in our clinic can access your medical history.
This means if you can see another doctor sooner than your regular doctor you can reducing the risk of any delays in your health care and management.
Reminder System
We offer a convenient reminder system whereby we can notify patients when they are due for immunisations, cervical screening, blood tests, health checks and any other important follow-up appointments or procedures.
If you wish to be included in our reminder system, please advise your doctor or nurse.
Importantly, if you do not want to be included in this system, please tell the receptionist, doctor and/or nurse.
Referrals and Medical Certificates
Medical certificates & referrals to specialists, (such as pathology and radiology services etc) will require an appointment. This includes Centrelink and Workcover certificates.
For legal reasons, “Backdating” of medical certificates and referrals is not possible under any circumstances.
Results
All patients must return to their doctor to receive and discuss results.
For medico-legal reasons, reception and nursing staff will not under any circumstances discuss results over the phone.
Results are typically received within the week unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

We understand you may have health concerns outside of our operating hours. For these situations, please get in touch with the National Home Doctor Service on 13SICK or 137 425 or hello home doctor on 134100.
Details of any hospital visits will be sent back to us for continuity of care.
